Also called vape juice or vape liquid, nicotine ejuice is a liquid used in e-cigarettes and vape kits to deliver flavored vapor. They are made using three main ingredients: propylene glycol, flavorings, and vegetable glycerine.
While most of these liquids contain nicotine, you can find several nicotine-free options with great flavors.
Types of e-juices
While there are numerous types depending on where you are purchasing, they fall into PG (Propylene glycol) and VG (vegetable glycerin) categories. PG is a thinner substance, while VG is thicker.
Sellers mix them in different ratios, giving them different viscosities, properties, and throat hits.
VG bias e-liquids usually produce little to no throat hits and large vapor clouds. On the other hand, PG bias e-liquids offer a strong throat hit and a more subtle vapor cloud, making them a good alternative for people trying to quit smoking.
PG and VG ratios
These determine your vaping experience and the devices you can use.
Over 50% VG
These are good for coils and kits with below one-ohm resistance or ones made for DTL or sub-ohm vaping.
Over 50% PG
These are good for coils and kits with over one ohm resistance or those designed for MTL or classic vaping.
50%/50%
These are suitable for most coils, tanks, and kits.
Finding the right nicotine strength
This depends on whether you smoke and how much you smoke.
3mg
– This is the lowest level suitable if you are a light smoker or want to quit.
5-6mg
– This is also low-level strength with a similar hit to some ultra-low or ultra-light cigarettes, suitable if you smoke below ten cigarettes daily.
10-12mg
– This is good if you are an average smoker, getting around a pack daily.
8-20mg
– This high-level e-liquid is for people getting over a pack a day. If you want 20mg, you can use disposable vape pens or purchase nicotine salts.
