One way to ensure that you get enough lights at one time instead of going back to the store to purchase more halfway through decorating is to measure each area. It’s often better to get longer strings of lights instead of those that are an exact match to the measurements that you take as they might not stretch as well as you think they would.
Testing and Hanging
When you have all of the strings of outdoor Christmas tree lights that you’ll need, test them to see how bright they are and to make sure all of the bulbs work. Light clips can be used to make it easier to keep strings in place instead of using nails that could damage your home or simply letting the lights hang in place in some areas.
