The size of the tent is usually based on two things; the number of people in attendance and the type of event. Events such as family reunions or weddings have to be carefully planned out, there must be plenty of space for the guests to feel comfortable in, but there also has to be consideration given to tables and chairs that will be required for dining. Most of the party rental tents are rigid frame; this makes it ideal if power cables have to be suspended for lighting or sound systems. The rigid frame tent is usually set up by the company you decide to rent it from, depending on the size; they may erect the tent the day before the party.
Once you have the size of tent and the construction under control, the next consideration is the location. If the party is small and intimate, the tent can probably be set up on the patio quite neatly, however, a larger affair will probably take a large area of grass. Under these circumstances it is advisable to rent a tent that has a floor. The floor will not be made from the same canvas material as the walls; it will be laid up from a number of pieces of plywood or similar material.
