Healthy Snacks To Get You Through The Work Day

Starting a new fitness program is always exciting. A healthy workout can help change the way you look and feel. Part of a new fitness plan should also include incorporating healthy eating habits into your lifestyle. One way to do that is to make sure that you get healthy snacks to fill you up while providing adequate nutrition. Following are a couple of healthy snack ideas to get you through the day.

Baked Sweet Potato Chips

Packed with protein, potassium, and fiber, these healthy snacks are super easy to make and extremely feeling. Simply take one-and-a-half pounds of sweet potatoes, one-third cup of olive oil, and your favorite spices. Slice the potatoes into thin slices, toss them with the olive oil and your spices, and roast them on a baking sheet at 450 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Monkey Toast

This healthy snack is packed with protein and fiber. The ingredients you need are a banana, peanut butter, bread, chia seeds, and honey. Toast your bread, and spread it with the peanut butter and banana slices. Drizzle the top with honey, and sprinkle chia seeds over the whole slice. Enjoy.

Hummus and Vegetables

For this protein-rich snack, you’ll need your favorite hummus, peppers, carrots, celery, or any other sliced, crispy vegetables. Get a small mason jar or container, and add a bit of hummus (not too much!). Slice your vegetables if they’re not already sliced, and throw them on top.
